The Lodge remains closed after Tuesday's TABC raid. Now a very public war of words between Doug Polk and Tom Dwan is adding a second storyline, and one of Dwan's allegations is more serious than the drama.
The Lodge Card Club in Round Rock remains closed following the search warrant executed by state police and TABC on March 11. In their official statement, Lodge attorneys said the reasons behind the search had not yet been explained to them.
While that situation remains unresolved, a second story broke the same day, and it involves two of the biggest names in poker.

It started when Doug Polk posted to X guaranteeing that all player funds would be safe, while calling the TABC action a witch hunt. He then directed a pointed message at Tom Dwan over an unrelated debt dispute.

Dwan responded, and his reply went further than anyone expected.

Dwan accused Polk of knowing about a type of cheating that The Lodge had made easy to execute years ago. Dwan says he brought it to Polk's attention and asked him to address it. According to Dwan, Polk chose not to.
Dwan also took a broader shot at Polk's character, suggesting he prioritizes optics over doing the right thing.

Dwan has been clear that he does not believe the cheating vulnerability is connected to the TABC raid. But the allegation is serious on its own. If a known game integrity issue was flagged to ownership and left unaddressed, that matters to every player who has sat in a Lodge game.
It's also worth noting that Dwan and Polk have documented personal friction, including an unresolved financial dispute. Dwan is not a neutral party here. That doesn't make the allegation false, it just means it requires independent verification before it can be treated as established fact.
What we know right now: The Lodge is closed. The TABC situation is unresolved. And one of the most respected names in poker has made a public allegation about game integrity at the biggest poker room in Texas.
